THE CURE for CANCER . . .
is it really the cure for death?

Roll that one around for a minute until you get your arms
around the ramifications of those four words.

Doctor Samantha Goldinger is lured to its secrets, has found a
way to turn back not only the hands of time and illness, but
aging and death as well.

The cure is called Elixinol Twenty-One, a serum that has the
power to heal . . . . with deadly results.

Eternity in a vial, ageless and forever but with a twist that is so
horrific that Samantha must choose; perpetual but distorted life
or inevitable death.

How many are worth the cure? One? Ten? A dozen? A
hundred? Three hundred? A thousand? Are a thousand deaths
worth it? How many deaths make one life worth the terrible
cost? When does the cure outweigh the risks? When do the
ends justify the means?

They want it. They will kill for it. They have been hunting and
killing for the secrets of Elixinol Twenty-One for hundreds of
years, guarding the methods and madness that keep them alive,
keep them one step behind the cure for aging and every disease
known to man.

If they succeed the result would be catastrophic: unguarded
regeneration and overpopulation that could destroy all mankind
in a matter of decades.

Running for survival and the safety of her family, Samantha
must discard the life she knew in order to stop them. She
crosses the line from scientist to victim, a victim of Elixinol
Twenty-One and those that will stop at nothing to take it from
her. She does the only thing she can do. It becomes the very
cure that will be her savior and her demise.

Collin Jurssic is a reporter for the Los Angeles Post, where he
works with Samantha's ex husband Gregory. He did a human
interest story on the good doctor that declared war on Cancer
with a capital C. Now everyone connected with her laboratory
is dead, Doctor Goldinger's reputation is in shambles, she's on
the run and running out of time. Collin wants to know why.

He's on her trail, trying to get a handle on what she's up to
when her car explodes. Like a scene right out of a horror movie
that blast plunges Collin right into the thick of her last days, her
very last moments.

Collin is crushed.

And then the revelation: Is Samantha really dead? Could she still
be alive? Is it possible that she was not in the car? Collin thinks
so and sets out to prove his theory.

Trusting no one, seeing false starts and suspicious behavior
from all those around him, he is plunged into the horror that is
Elixinol Twenty-One. The pleasant surprise? Through all of the
death and destruction, Collin finds love, a gift that is Samantha
Goldinger, who has died
a thousand deaths.

"Where was Samantha, they
wanted to know?
Who was she, after all, this
woman who ignited
Armageddon?
They didn’t care, really.
They wanted to know what
Collin had to say. It was his
fifteen minutes of fame."

From
A Thousand Deaths

This story
explores the possibility that
the cure for Cancer may be
more dangerous than the
disease iteself-

at least for those in the
research industy!

Who benefits?
Who loses?
Who cares enough to do
anything at all to make sure
it never happens?

Or to make sure that
they get it first?

Were a cure
to be found, entire
industries would collapse!

Consider this . . .

The reversal of the aging
process might seem a
golden fleece for the
cosmetic industry

but . . .

It might also be a disaster
of mega-proportions for the
medical, pharmaceutical or
insurance industry!

Or would it?

What if . . .

The cure for Cancer was
found?

What if  . . .

The cure for aging was
found?

What if . . .

The cure for death was
found?

What if . . . .

Something went terribly
wrong?
